What is Educreations?

Educreations is an interactive whiteboard app for creating video presentations and instructions. Students and teachers use the image capabilities and writing tools to explain a process, label a diagram, or create animations.

How do you use the app?

Students must create an account or connect to their school Google account in order to use the app. From the home screen, tap on the + button to create a new video. Add text or images to set-up your slide by clicking on the + button. You can scroll with two fingers to get more space or add a slide. Use one finger or a stylus to write on the screen. Tap on the microphone to begin recording. You can preview and edit the video by clicking on the play button. The video is a draft until it is saved. Once it is saved, it cannot be edited. You can only have one draft on the free version.

How do students share their projects?

Press the back button and choose “Save Finished Video”. Open the finished video and tap on the share arrow. A link or embed code can be generated to share with others. The feature to save the video to the camera roll is only available on the paid version.
