What is Apple Clips?

Apple Clips is an iPad app for creating videos with artistic filters, animated text, music, captions, emojis, stickers, and more.

How do you use the app?

Open the app, create a new project and press the pink button to start recording. You can also tap on the record button and swipe up to record without holding the button. If you prefer, you can add video or images directly from your camera roll and narrate over them. The video clips are organized into a timeline at the bottom of the screen and can easily be rearranged by holding and dragging on a clip. You can add a title and ending clips by using the posters. The animations will play for as long as you hold the record button. Add music to your project that will automatically adjust to the length of the video.

How do students share their projects?

Since Clips was created by Apple, you can expect similar sharing features as most iOS applications. Simply tap on the share arrow and save your project to your camera roll or import it into another app like Google Drive or iMovie.
