What is Opinion?

Opinion allows you to record, edit and share a sigle track of audio easily. Trim and split audio into segments and then drag and drop to rearrange the clips to create podcasts and audio tracks.

How do you use the app?

If you are using Opinion for the first time, you will be prompted to create an account. You can skip this step by pressing "Do it later". Press the red record button to start a new recording or tap on the music note icon to bring in an existing audio track from your device. Each new recording will create a clip aligned vertically from top (beginning) to bottom (end). Press the play button to preview each recording or tap on the three bars and drag up or down to rearrange the order of the clips. Tap on a clip to edit, rename, or delete a clip. You can move the playhead, the dotted line, to any point in the recording and tap on the sciccors icon to split the clip. This can be helpful for removing mistakes, pauses, and "uhs" from your recording.

How do students share their projects?

When students have finished editing their audio track they can press the share button to export the audio file. The file can be saved directly to the device, opened in another app like iMovie, or saved online on a Google Drive account. Since you can only have one active project, students will need to delete the existing project to work their next project.
